The Foundation has a representative on the Board of Directors of the IRZ (Deutsche Stifftung für Internazionale Zusammenarbeit). The German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ Foundation) was established as a registered association in May 1992 on the initiative of the then Federal Minister of Justice, Dr. Klaus Kinkel.
