A Magistrate, Gasztowt served as the Advocate General at the Court of Appeal of Versailles.

He was appointed Deputy Prosecutor of the Court of Appeal of Paris in 2008.

In 2010, he was appointed Legal Advisor to the Directorate General of the Treasury and Economic Policy within the Ministry of the Economy, Finances and Industry.
