Jacques Toubon


Jacques Toubon holds a two-year degree in public law, and graduated from the Institut d'études politiques of Lyon and ENA [National School of Public Administration].

A French politician, Toubon is a former Deputy of Paris. He was Mayor of the 13th arrondissement [district] from 1983 to 2001, Minister of Culture and of Francophone Affairs and Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals from 1993 to 1997, and a European Deputy from 2004 to 2009. 

He currently chairs the Board of the Cité nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration [Museum of Immigration History].
