An attorney in Sallanches, Haute-Savoie, in a law firm of 4 partners, Mr. Chambel is involved in both judicial and legal activities.

He was President of the Bar Association in 1994-1995.  He joined the office of the Conference of Presidents in 1996 and served as its President in 2002 and 2003.

He is also a member of the International Commission and a delegate to the Council of the Bars of the European Union (CCBE).
