The Civil Law Chair in Sao Paulo was instituted in partnership with the Fondation Getulio Vargas and the Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo (EAESP, São Paulo Business School) and with the assistance of Ms.
Ligia Maura Costa, member of the Scientific Council of the Foundation.

The Chair’s objective is to promote the continental legal culture by the development of cooperation between Brazilian jurists, managers and economists and French jurists.

 Scheduled sessions:

• September 2008, on the topic "Courses in Comparative Law" given by Mrs. Jauffret-Spinosi Professor of Comparative Law, and former student of René David.

• First quarter 2012, on the topic "Law and Business Management"
