Presentation
The Summer University of the Foundation for Continental Law is the new and international, yearly meeting place for persons interested in continental legal culture, whether they are academic scholars, legal professionals, or students.
Audience
It focuses on students having completed their legal studies’ cycle, on professors and professionals.
Location and Dates
The summer University is held in Paris, at the Sorbonne, for three weeks in July.
Registration fee
The registration fees include tuition fees and, depending on the status of the registered students and on the option chosen, board and lodging. Accommodation is provided at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
Formation
The courses are taught by high-level specialists, eminent in continental law and in comparative law.
Conferences and seminars are scheduled so as to provide even greater depth to the course materials.
Certificate
Exams are mandatory for students and optional for the other participants. A Certificate of Completion of Training in Continental Law will be issued by the Summer University.
Cultural Activities
The training is accompanied by cultural activities including visiting the highest institutions of the French law (such as the Court of Cassation, the Council of State, the Senate...), Institut de France.
