Offer training in continental law and disseminate it

Description

The purpose of the Chair in Civil Law is to promote the continental legal culture by the development of cooperation between French jurists and Mexican jurists.

The Chair will rotate throughout Mexico and Central America.

The Fondation's partnering institutions are the Mexican Center of Uniform Law and the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas.

This Chair was established with the support of Jorge Sanchez Cordero, a member of the Fondation's Scientific Council.

Session :

  • In May 2012 on the topic of "Comparative Law in the 21st Century"

The courses are given at the School of Law of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and the two speakers are:

- Mrs Marie Goré, Professor at the University of Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), and Vice-President of the Association Henri Capitant des amis de la Culture Juridique Française on the topic: «Methodology of Comparative Law: Where do we stand now? »,

- Mr Michel Grimaldi, Professor at the University of Panthéon-Assas (Paris II),
