Within the framework of the Plan of Sector-Based Action for Exporting the Legal Trades (PASEMD) which was launched in June, 2006, French legal professionals, in conjunction with the Fondation, organize colloquia in different countries.
- In October 2007, a colloquium was held in
Beijing on the issue of "Legal Certainty Contributing to Economic
Development".
This colloquium, open to all members of the Chinese and French legal milieus was an opportunity to discuss the following topics: public-private partnerships, ownership of tangible assets, intellectual property, sureties, legal rights of firms in difficulty, and enforcement measures.
French lawyers, bailiffs, intellectual property advisors, notaries, company lawyers, and law professors participated to present the French legal system. Other speakers presented the Chinese system as it relates to these topics.
The totality of the legal and judicial professions, by offering a framework aimed at lending greater certainty to business and trade, operate to benefit the social system as a whole.
This colloquium allowed for sharing an experience with the new economies and working with them to devise a response to the challenges of the future. It also made it possible the presentation of an entire system in order to emphasize its coherence and efficiency, as well as also to ponder its adaptation within a foreign framework.
- In October, 2008, a colloquium was held in Armenia on the topic of "Law Contributing to Economic Development: The Legal certainty of Investments in Armenia."
